Dapo Abiodun Preseason Tournament: Abbey Benson,Awujoola Among Top Scorers

DAP TOURNEY: Abbey Benson, Awujoola Among Top Scorers

As the second edition of the Governor Dapo Abiodun Pre season tournament reaches the home stretch, two players of Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) of Ibadan are among the tournaments' top scorers list.

According to the statistics released by the organizers, hours before the second semi final match between Lobi Stars and Kwara United, five players, with two goals each were listed.

Among them are the Shooting Stars duo of central back Abbey Benson and pacy forward Awujoola Sadiq.

Others are Kwara United's Michael Ohanu, Lobi Stars' Austine Ogunye and Ishaq Kayode of Rivera United.

While Ohanu and Ogunye will be in action later this evening when Kwara United tackles Lobi Stars in a semi final match, Benson and Awujoola still have the final match to play.

However, Rivers United's Ishaq Kayode will no longer play any part in the tournament following the disengagement of the Port Harcourt based side from the tournament.

Abbey Benson got his brace in Shooting Stars' 5-1 win over FC Nilayo, while Awujoola came on as a substitute to grab a late equaliser for the Stars in the 1- 1 draw against Remo Stars just as he came off the bench to score the Oluyole Warriors' second goal against Bendel Insurance in the 2-1 semi final victory over the Benin Arsenal.
