🚨💔 BREAKING: TRAGEDY STRIKES KATSINA UNITED
Nigerian football has been hit by a heartbreaking tragedy following reports that Chinedu Ozor, the former Kano Pillars defender who recently joined Katsina United, reportedly collapsed during a pre-season game this morning and tragically passed away.
Ozor, who played primarily as a right-back, was beginning a new chapter with Katsina United ahead of the 2026/27 season after previously representing clubs including Kano Pillars, Heartland, Katsina United, Lobi Stars, Sunshine Stars and Abia Warriors.
The football community is deeply saddened by this devastating report. A football pitch, which should be a place of dreams, passion and celebration, has once again become the scene of an unimaginable loss.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Chinedu Ozor’s family, teammates, coaches, Katsina United, his former clubs and everyone who knew and loved him.
🕊️ May his soul rest in peace.
More details will be communicated as they become officially confirmed.
